Lightforce Influencers

At Lightforce, we believe in supporting the community who support us. By fostering the potential of both young and established members of the 4WD, ute, off road racing and extreme sports communities, as well as great charitable causes we are able to build give back to all those who have given so much to our brand over the years. We are proud to be involved with a number of individuals and groups within the community, each of whom you can read more about by clicking on their profile!

Roothy

John Rooth is an Aussie 4WD legend. His freelance writing career work took off with the boom in the 4X4, caravan and camping lifestyles in the mid-1990’s and with so much genuine mechanical and outback experience it wasn’t long before ‘Roothy’ had become the number one name in the field. This led to a fifteen-year career presenting 4WD Action DVDs which involved travelling all over the country again but this time in a truck he built himself, ‘Milo’ the old Toyota. Roothy has kept evolving the same old $500 truck, including installing Lighforce lights, proving you didn’t need the latest and flashiest machinery to travel the bush. His reputation as a bush mechanic with a love of Australian history grew almost as quickly as his reputation for unusual bush cooking. Roothy is the number one attraction at the major outdoors expos around the country like the Melbourne National 4x4 Outdoors, Fishing and Boating Expo, the Sydney 4WD and Adventure Show, the Brisbane National 4x4 Outdoors, Fishing and Boating Expo, the Perth 4WD and Adventure Show and the Adelaide 4WD and Adventure Show.

Rinus Hartsuijker

In 2014 Rinus Hartsuijker started in Northern Europe, travelling the well known “Silk Route” on an Enduro motorbike, crossing: Europe, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Kashmir and India. From India, he flew to Australia where Helga Kruizinga joined the travel. They traded his 2 wheeler for 4 and in 18 months they circumnavigated Australia. After Australia they shipped their 2001 Toyota Landcruiser kitted with Lightforce lights to South-Africa and took 14 months to travel the Trans-African route crossing: South-Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Kenya, Uganda, Congo, Ethiopia, Sudan and Egypte before they shipped their cruiser to Turkey. On the road now for 3 years and still they don’t seem to get enough. Eastern-Europe is where their Lightforce lights are now at the moment of writing about these world travellers. Follow their Facebook Page or website at rinushartsuijker.com to keep updated on their travels, but Lightforce is sure they’ll never stop exploring!

Loveday 4×4 Adventure Park

Loveday 4×4 Adventures is a privately owned 4×4 adventure park, two hours east of Adelaide and two hours west of Mildura. It has everything from quiet relaxing river camping, through to hardcore 4×4 driving.

Loveday 4×4 Adventure Park is on 8000 acres of private property, encompassing all the environmental features to create a perfect place for 4 wheel driving adventures. The Park is also a working produce and cattle property. This unique property maintains 14kms of the mighty Murray River with great campsites near the banks. Our campsites are 2wd, caravan and boat friendly.  From the river, the property transforms from smooth clay flats, through to creek beds, to deep soft sand hills. The Northern upper part of the property has a mixture of stony hills, through to sandy mallee scrub.

The property occupies two of its very own natural lakes, located next to each other and adjoined by a small creek. These lakes have the distinct feature of a pair of spectacles - hence the name of the property “Specs Lakes”. The Loveday Tavern is the heart and soul of the Park. There is plenty for the whole family to do. Mum and Dad can relax and enjoy a few drinks at the fully licensed bar, while the kids go and play on the lawn area and playground. Loveday has many things to offer, from Day Trips, Camping, and many events held throughout the year, a number of which the crew from Lightforce show their support at. Come and check out this fantastic location – you certainly won’t be disappointed!

Chris Western

Chris Western had a dream – to take the first Australian built class one to the Baja 1000 and in 2014 he will see this dream become reality. The world-renowned event runs from Ensenada to La Paz in Mexico and Chris is facing the event from the seat of his Element Prodigy – with a six Lightforce Venom and four LED180s lighting the way!

As Chris Western explains “The Baja 1000 is a different ball game as far as driving lights go, given that over 50% of the race is at night.”

“We believe that the Venom product will be perfect for what we need in Mexico and beyond. We are very happy we can take an Australian branded product over to the USA and Mexico. It is perfect really, a lot of years of R and D have gone into this light and the fact we can use it in one of the most Extreme situations you can get is pretty cool.”

Racing the National Off Road circuit here in Australia for the last eight years, three-time class champion Chris Western will become the first Australian to compete in an Australian built off-road buggy and drive solo in this year’s Score International Baja 1000.

The LightForce range of products have been specifically designed to thrive in the harshest of conditions and being able to prove this on the world stage is an opportunity that we certainly couldn’t pass up! We look forward to this new partnership with Chris.
